PURCHASING Purchasing a Bengal kitten or adult is an important decision. We guarantee our kittens/cats are in excellent health at the time of sale, and encourage buyers to visit their vet to confirm its good health. We require our kittens to be spayed/neutered at approximately seven months, unless purchased as a breeder. Wildfirecats have a written sales agreement to provide the seller and buyer with a clear understanding of the agreement and protect the seller, buyer and kitten. The sale of a Wildfirecats Bengal does not end with the purchase. We pride ourselves in being available to our buyers to answer questions after the sale, and consider them a part of our extended Bengal family. If there is a kitten on our available list that sounds like what you're looking for, contact us and we will send you photographs. You may also let us know what you're looking for, even if you don't see one that is available presently, and we will let you know when we get one. We photograph the kittens just prior to three weeks of age, and then send one or two updates before it is time for you to pick up your kitten. Please be aware that it's not easy to photograph these active babies. They will not stand and pose, and because they're moving at the speed of light, pictures often turn out a little blurry; and then it's back to square one. We need to spend most of our time caring for the babies and their parents: this is the priority. We let our kittens go to local homes at about 11 weeks of age. By this time they are eating well on their own, using the litterbox, have had vaccinations started, and are mature enough to leave their first family. Our kittens are guaranteed healthy when you receive them. But we recommend that you have your new kitten checked by your veterianarian within 72 hours after it's arrival. When you pick up your kitten,he will have a health record that has a list of the vaccinations, etc that he has received, as well as recommended boosters that will be needed in the future. Also the kitten will have proper registration paperwork, depending on whether or not he was purchased for breeding. Any kitten purchased as a pet must be altered before he reaches maturity, and never bred. Good Bengals are not inexpensive...you generally get what you pay for. You occasionally may see Bengal kittens that are priced low; but these will probably not have the bright colours and markings that have contrast with the ground colour.There is the question of health as well.We choose our breeding males and females carefully, looking for the finest pair that will bring out the best of the breed. We will also be happy to demonstrate how to clip his nails if you have any concerns about this or any grooming issues. CONTRACT This contract is written for the protection of both the seller and the purchaser and when signed becomes binding and legal. Health records and care instructions are provided at time of sale. This kitten is sold as PET BREEDER SHOW/BREEDER SHOW/ALTER All pet kittens must be spayed/neutered before reaching 8 months of age. Seller agrees to furnish registration papers for the kitten upon presentation of a veterinarian's certificate of sterilization. If a Pet Bengal is bred the resulting kittens will be the property of Jeremy Arthur and there will be an additional charge of $1,000. The cat will be returned to Jeremy Arthur with all kittens and no money will be refunded. Health is guaranteed for a period of 72 hours from the time the kitten leaves the possession of the seller. It is recommended that you take the kitten to your veterinarian (at your expense) within this time period for your own satisfaction and protection. If the kitten is found to be medically deficient, it may be returned, and the purchase price will be refunded or replacement kitten offered as available. For the protection of the sellers resident cattery population, a portion of the purchase price will be retained for FIP, FELV and FIV testing. All return shipping related expenses are the responsibility of the purchaser. It is recommended that the care and feeding instructions of the kitten are adhered to. Stress and change in food can cause diarrhea and digestive upset in young kittens, as well as in some adults. Should the kitten die as a direct result of a congenital defect (unknown at time of sale) within two years time of sale, this kitten will be replaced only if an appropriate necropsy is performed by a licensed veterinarian and a vet's certificate is provided showing proof of cause of death. A replacement kitten of comparable quality and value, as available, will be made at the discretion of the breeder/seller.
